Press Mentions (previous vintage)
92pts+ "The 2020 Alto Tinto was produced with a majority of Touriga Nacional and very small percentages of Sousão, Tinto Cão and Fernão Pires (white) from 13-year-old vines on schist soils. It fermented in bins and stone lagars and matured in French oak barrels, new and used, for 20 months. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a nose of dark spices, ripe black fruit and a touch of graphite. It is dense and voluptuous, a tad finer-boned than the Alto Rio but with a similar profile." 90pts: "Dried spices and herbs on the nose of this fragrant red blend, alongside cherries and mulberries. It’s full-bodied, juicy and spicy with well-integrated tannins and a soft finish. Drink or hold."
